Black History Month Display at CCC Library Blackwood
February is Black History Month. Events and celebrations are occuring nationally, statewide, and at the local level.
Nationally, The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endownment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution, and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum are joining together to commemorate African American History Month with this year's theme being "African Americans and the Civil War." The New Jersey Department of State is presenting a series of Black History Month continuing exhibits and shows. Locally, the Camden County Historical Society is hosting Lullaby for Dreamland: Remembering Lawnside's Music District and Black History Month Tours of Pomona Hall.
