AIDS Speaker, Quilt to Visit Wolverton Library
Monday, November 26, at noon Ms. Marcie Walton from the AIDS Coalition of Southern New Jersey, will speak at the Wolverton Library on the Blackwood Campus as part of the College’s week long observance of World AIDS Day.
In addition, a portion of the national AIDS quilt, created in memory of those who have died of HIV/AIDS, will be on display at the library for the entire week, November 26-30. (more at http://www.aidsquilt.org/ )
Millions of people around the world have died of this still incurable disease since its identification in 1981. Although drug therapies such as HAART can keep HIV/AIDS from advancing in infected people who can afford this treatment, nothing yet cures it, and the majority of people who have it can’t afford the drugs.
